A Warrior Princess

Romans 8:17
17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

2 Timothy 2:3
Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.

A princess walks with honor, grace, and divine favor from God. She knows her identity and to whom she belongs. She possesses confidence. She is chosen, anointed, and set apart for God’s divine purpose.

Isaiah 62:3
3 You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand,
a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

Isaiah 61:10
10 I delight greatly in the Lord;
my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

A princess is dressed in strength and dignity. She speaks with wisdom and is not afraid of the future. She works hard and cares for those in need. She oversees the matters of her household. She takes on the tasks before her and remains faithful.

Proverbs 31:25-27
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.

A warrior fights with the weapons available to her. She fights with honor and integrity for what is good and noble, fully aware of who she is fighting for. She knows who the enemy is and who is not. She is strong and protects those who are oppressed or attacked by the enemy. She stands by the side of those she loves and remains loyal to them.

Ephesians 6:10-18
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

I’m sure you have experienced situations where the enemy tries to confuse you, make you doubt your calling, and distract you. The enemy aims to steal, kill, and destroy. He seeks to undermine our ministry or purpose, steal our children and joy, and destroy our marriages and relationships. When the enemy can’t reach us directly, he may attack someone close to us instead.

I have seen this in my life and how we use the Armor of God is key.

The Belt of Truth represents our understanding of who we are in Christ. It reminds us that God is for us and with us. By storing God’s word in our hearts, we prepare ourselves to apply it in our lives. The Belt of Truth is foundational because it supports the breastplate and serves as a holder for our sword. It binds us to the truth and keeps everything together.

The Breastplate of Righteousness serves as our protection. Through Christ, we have been made righteous. We apply this breastplate through our faith and obedience, safeguarding our hearts. God protects us and empowers us to withstand temptation, enabling us to live in accordance with His will.

The phrase “the feet fitted for readiness” emphasizes being prepared to share the Gospel of Peace. Like putting on battle shoes, we must be ready for the journey. This peace, born from God’s love and Christ’s sacrifice, offers salvation. In spiritual battles, we need courage, and the victory of the Gospel instills this courage, reminding us that God is in control.

The Shield of Faith extinguishes the flaming arrows of the evil one. Having this shield means you have complete trust in God’s work in your life. It protects you from the enemy’s lies because your faith is stronger. By relying on your faith, you can avoid doubting God’s truth.

The Helmet of Salvation represents our assurance of salvation. We believe firmly in God’s promises and our salvation through Christ Jesus. This helmet also protects our minds from the lies of the enemy.

The Sword of the Spirit is our only offensive weapon, and it is the Word of God. Jesus used God’s Word to respond to Satan’s attempts at temptation. Similarly, we should be prepared to answer with God’s Word today. It is important to have it ingrained in our minds and hearts.

Pray in the Spirit for God’s strength and power to withstand. This prayer is guided by the Holy Spirit, which aligns with Paul’s message in this scripture.

Romans 8:26
“The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”

Being a Warrior Princess involves recognizing God’s ongoing work in our lives. We must be mindful of what we choose to expose ourselves to. Our strength comes from the Lord and His mighty power. We are called to stand firm against the enemy, even when that enemy is our own flesh. It’s essential to know God’s Word so that, when we are tempted, we can speak it confidently.

You are loved, and being a Warrior Princess means not only knowing your identity but also recognizing your worth. It involves standing firm against temptation and believing that God wants more for you, just as you do. Be strong in the Holy Spirit who resides within you. He is a powerful force to be reckoned with. You are mighty because the One who lives in you is mighty, and He is greater than the one who is in the world. Stay strong, Warrior Princess, for our future glory awaits us.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before you humbled by the truth of being heirs to Your Kingdom. You adorn us as women and take special care of us. We thank You for Your Word of Truth, the Holy Spirit, and all the tools You provide so that by Your might, we can fight the good fight and stand against the evil one. We are grateful for Your power to resist temptation in our lives. You are working within us to transform us into the likeness of Christ. We are covered by the righteousness of Christ.

We ask that You grant us wisdom, strength, faith, power, courage, and fortitude to fight. We seek Your divine favor in the calling You have set us apart for. May we embody the attributes of the Woman of Noble Character described in Proverbs, and may we be women of valor. May we be a warrior princess approved by You. Most importantly, Lord, may we give You the glory, for You are our everything. We love You, Lord, with all our hearts, minds, and souls. Bring us Your peace when we are in battle, along with Your blessed assurance of victory. In Jesus’ Name, we pray, Amen!
